This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes how Appitate LLC (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you access and use our Livebalance mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
We are committed to protecting your privacy and processing personal information in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.

All terms used in this Policy have the same meaning as defined in the Terms of Use.
Please read this Policy carefully before using the Platform.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to:
- all visitors who access the Platform without registering;
- all registered users of the Platform;
- all individuals who submit inquiries or requests through the Platform.
This Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services linked from the Platform. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.
The Platform is strictly intended for individuals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.
2. Categories of Personal Data
We may collect personal information directly from you, automatically when you use the Platform, and in limited cases from third-party service providers. We process the following categories of personal information:
Registration Data - your full name, email address, password, age, date of birth, profile avatar, visited countries and bio information for registration of your account.
User-Generated Data - your personal data in connection of your use of the Platform, such as profile media (photos and videos uploaded to your profile), text messages sent via private chat to mutually following users; video and audio during calls (transmitted in real time and not stored); reports and block submissions regarding other users.
Communication Data - if you contact our support team or submit a request through the Contact Us form or via email address, we may collect the information you provide, including your name, email address, and the content of your message to provide full support.
Tracking Technologies Data - we may use tracking technologies in the Livebalance mobile application, including mobile SDKs, device identifiers and analytics technologies. These technologies are used to operate, secure, analyse, attribute, and improve the Platform. You may manage or restrict the use of certain tracking technologies and related identifiers through your device settings.
Usage Data - information about how users interact with the Platform, such as user ID, platform information, account type and account status, and country of residence, online status, current screen or feature being used, match interaction metrics. This information is used to provide, maintain, personalize, secure, and improve the Service functionality.
Technical Data - IP address, device model, operating system, and app version, app start time and session metadata, network type and connectivity status, HTTP request logs, including request URLs, response times, and durations, screen rendering performance metrics, crash reports, stack traces, unhandled exceptions, and diagnostic logs, system-level diagnostic information used to detect errors, improve stability, and ensure service reliability. This information is used exclusively for service operation, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, security, and reliability purposes. Technical data is not shared with unrelated third parties, except service providers necessary for the operation of the Service.
Age Verification Data - to help ensure that the Platform is used only by individuals who are at least 18 years old, we use Yoti to perform age verification checks. As part of this process, identity verification documents and biometric verification processes are handled directly by Yoti in accordance with its own privacy practices. We do not store copies of your identity documents or biometric information. We receive only the outcome of the verification process, such as confirmation that age verification has been successfully completed or failed. 3. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal information only where we have a valid legal basis under applicable law. The following table sets out each processing purpose alongside the corresponding legal basis under GDPR.

Where processing is based on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), you have the right to object to such processing at any time. Please see Section 7 (Your Privacy Rights) for details.
4. Disclosure of Personal Information
4.1. Information visible to other users
Certain information is visible to other registered users of the Platform as part of the core functionality of the Platform. This includes:
- your display name;
- your age and country;
- your profile avatar (where provided);
- your biography (where provided);
- your list of visited countries (where provided);
- media uploaded to your profile.
In addition, during the pre-connection screen prior to a call, the other participant may see your display name, age, country, and profile avatar.
We do not intentionally record or store the content of calls conducted through the Platform.
4.2. Third-party service providers (data processors)
We engage third-party service providers to support the operation, security, and functionality of the Platform. These providers act as data processors and process personal data solely on our documented instructions and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we rely on appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses (“SCCs”) adopted by the European Commission and, where required, Transfer Impact Assessments (“TIAs”).
We use the following service providers:
- Amazon Web Services, Inc. (USA) - for cloud hosting, infrastructure, and data storage services. Privacy Policy
- AppsFlyer Ltd. (Israel) - for mobile attribution, analytics, and marketing measurement services. AppsFlyer processes device identifiers, attribution data, and in-app event data to help us understand installation sources and application usage. Privacy Policy
- Google LLC (USA) - for Firebase services, including Crashlytics (crash reporting), Cloud Messaging (push notifications), Performance Monitoring, and Analytics. Google processes technical and usage data to support app stability, analytics, and notification delivery. Privacy Policy
- Agora, Inc. (USA) - for real-time audio and video communication infrastructure. Agora processes real-time audio/video, connection data, and technical identifiers necessary to enable communication features on the Platform. Privacy Policy
- Hive Moderation, Inc. (USA) - for automated content moderation services using AI-based technologies. Hive processes User-Generated Data (including images and videos) submitted for moderation purposes to detect prohibited or harmful content. Privacy Policy
- Yoti Limited (UK) - for age verification purposes. We receive only the outcome of the verification process (e.g. confirmation that the user meets the minimum age requirement). Identity documents and biometric data are processed directly by Yoti and are not stored by us. Privacy Policy
We enter into Data Processing Agreements (“DPAs”) with all processors to ensure appropriate safeguards for personal data.
4.3. Legal Disclosures
We may also disclose your personal information to law enforcement authorities, regulatory bodies, courts, or other governmental entities where:
- we are required to do so by applicable law, regulation, or enforceable legal process;
- we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Appitate, our users, or the public;
- we are responding to a lawful subpoena, court order, or government request.
Where legally permissible, we will notify affected users of such requests.
4.4. No Sale of Personal Information
We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties, as that term is defined under the CCPA/CPRA or any other applicable law.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect the safety and integrity of the Platform.
We may retain:
- Registration Data - for the duration of your account. Following account deletion, such information may be retained for up to 30 days where necessary for legal, security, fraud prevention, or compliance purposes, after which it is permanently deleted.
- User-Generated Data - for the duration of your active account and is deleted when your account is deleted, unless retention is required by applicable law or for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims. Video call content is transmitted in real time only and is not intentionally recorded or stored by us as part of the normal operation of the Platform.
- Technical Data and Usage Data - for up to 90 days for detailed operational and diagnostic purposes. After this period, the data may be aggregated, anonymised, or retained in non-identifiable form for up to 12 months for analytics, security, and service improvement purposes.
- Moderation-related records, including reports, restrictions, blocks, and account enforcement actions, - for up to 2 years from the relevant event in order to maintain Platform safety, investigate violations, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
- Communication Data - for up to 3 years from the date of the last correspondence for support, compliance, dispute resolution, and evidentiary purposes.
Inactive accounts are not automatically deleted. Where an account remains inactive for an extended period, we may contact you to confirm whether you wish to keep your account active. If no response is received, we may delete or anonymise the account in accordance with applicable retention rules.
Following deletion of your account, certain information may be retained in aggregated or anonymised form where it no longer identifies you personally.
6. Data Security
We implement technical and organisational security measures appropriate to the risk presented by our processing activities. Despite these measures, no system can guarantee absolute security. In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you without undue delay in accordance with Articles 33 and 34 of the GDPR.
7. Your Privacy Rights
7.1. EU
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the GDPR:

We will respond to verified rights requests within 30 days (extendable to 90 days for complex requests, with prior notice). In order to protect your personal data and prevent unauthorized access, we may need to verify your identity before processing your request and may request additional information or documentation where necessary to confirm your identity.

Privacy laws in the United States vary by state, and your privacy rights may differ depending on your state of residence. In addition to the rights described below, you may have other or more extensive rights under applicable state privacy laws.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), grants you, in addition to the above-mentioned rightsб the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and the right to limit the use of your sensitive personal information.
Depending on your state of residence, you may also have additional rights not listed above, and we will comply with such rights to the extent required under applicable state privacy laws.
8. Policy Update
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our processing activities, applicable law or technology. We will notify you of any material changes prior to the effective date of the updated policy. Where required by law, we will also seek your renewed consent.
The “Last Updated” date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Previous versions are available upon written request.
